Multi-cloud Sales Specialist , India South Region

This is a specialist sales role for someone who can create demand, build pipeline, develop new opportunities, and engage senior customers on strategic cloud and data platform decisions. You will work closely with Oracle’s Data Platform sales organization, solution engineers, cloud architects, and partner teams to help customers modernize mission-critical database workloads through Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Database@AWS, and Oracle Database@Google Cloud.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and develop qualified pipeline for Oracle’s multi-cloud database services across the India region.
  2. Identify new opportunities with customers running Oracle Database workloads, adopting hyperscaler platforms, or modernizing data platforms.
  3. Lead customer discovery to understand business priorities, technical challenges, cloud strategy, workload requirements, and commercial drivers.
  4. Drive collaborative sales motions with Data Platform sales colleagues to shape and progress multi-cloud database opportunities.
  5. Engage senior stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, cloud leaders, data platform owners, architects, finance leaders, and procurement teams.

Skills

Required

  • Strong enterprise technology sales experience, ideally in database, cloud, infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise software.
  • Proven business development capability, including creating demand, building pipeline, and progressing new opportunities.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple business and technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Oracle Database or comparable enterprise database/data platform solutions.
  • Familiarity with customer cloud environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including discovery, value articulation, stakeholder mapping, objection handling, and opportunity qualification.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, technical, partner, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Commercial discipline in pipeline management, forecasting, territory planning, and customer follow-through.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling Oracle Database, Exadata, Autonomous Database, or related enterprise database solutions.
  • Familiarity with hyperscaler partnerships, cloud marketplace motions, or partner-led selling.
  • Experience with database modernization, workload migration, cloud consumption, performance, security, or availability discussions.
  • Track record selling to large enterprise customers in India.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with customer executives and technical decision makers.
