This role focuses on designing and developing multimedia learning solutions and training materials for defense systems, including manned aircraft, rockets, artillery, mortars, unmanned aerial systems, and cruise missile defense. It involves analyzing training requirements, creating various training formats (online, in-person, hybrid, synchronous, asynchronous), and developing instructor-led sessions, microlearning modules, and online courses. The role requires experience in instructional design software, digital design standards, adult learning theories, and technical writing, with a Secret clearance required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Demonstrates comprehensive expertise in analyzing and evaluating knowledge and skill gaps to identify training requirements and develop appropriate learning solutions
  2. Design and develop training products for multiple modalities, including online, in-person, hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats
  3. Develop a comprehensive suite of training materials—including instructor-led sessions, microlearning modules, interactive online courses, and on-the-job qualification/certification programs—with minimal supervision

Skills

Required

  • Experience designing and developing learning materials for technical disciplines
  • Experience developing technology-based learning products
  • Experience creating formative and summative evaluations for technical disciplines
  • Experience with digital instructional design software (e.g., Camtasia, Storyline, Articulate, Adobe Captivate/Creative Suite)
  • Experience with digital design utilizing current SCORM standards, technical and creative writing; developing technical training deliverables
  • Experience working in ADDIE and other training development models for technical disciplines
  • Experience applying adult learning theories and process-driven instructional design principles
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain U.S. DoD Secret Level clearance
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
