National Account Business Developer

GEICO is seeking National Accounts Business Developers to drive strategic sales initiatives with a defined group of agencies, build their book of GEICO business through approved underwriting practices, and act as a subject matter expert on product lines and systems to improve customer experience, sales closure, and retention in the business-to-business space.

What you'd actually do

  1. deliver strategic sales initiatives with a defined group of agencies and build their book of GEICO business through approved underwriting practices.
  2. use their strong ability to influence, along with analytical and decision-making skills to provide guidance and support that promotes preference for GEICO products and services.
  3. act as a subject matter expert of product lines and systems to provide recommendations that improve customer experience, sales closure, and retention with new and existing customers in the business-to-business space.
  4. help their agencies achieve sales targets through actionable goal setting and understanding of their business needs.

Skills

Required

  • 2 years of relevant experience (Ex: Insurance, Business-to-Business Sales, Consulting, etc)
  • Prior experience working with different lines of insurance (Property & Casualty - Personal Auto, Home, Recreational Lines, Commercial Auto/Trucking)
  • Highly effective oral and written communicator – must be comfortable presenting, persuading, and networking through multiple channels (in-person, virtually, over the phone, etc.)
  • Ability to work individually and as a team collaborator with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience interpreting and analyzing data to make informed decisions that support growth initiatives
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

Nice to have

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience with caseload management and customer follow-up (Claims experience a plus)
  • Prior experience working with different lines of insurance a plus (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health)
  • Prior experience working with independent insurance agents
