Network Architect

Crusoe · Data AI · San Francisco, CA - US · IT, Compliance, and Security

Crusoe is an AI infrastructure company focused on accelerating energy and intelligence. They are seeking a Network Architect to design, secure, and standardize network infrastructure across their global data centers, power plants, and corporate environments. This role involves owning network architecture, security strategy, and infrastructure standards for IT, cloud, and industrial systems, ensuring networks are secure, resilient, and scalable to support AI workloads.

What you'd actually do

  1. Owning end-to-end network architecture across production and corporate environments, defining standards for IT, cloud, and industrial network domains
  2. Designing and enforcing network security strategy, including frameworks, risk assessments, and audit readiness across all sites
  3. Developing and maintaining comprehensive architectural documentation including network diagrams, IP schemas, rack elevations, and logical topologies
  4. Providing architectural oversight for infrastructure builds, including Bill of Materials (BOM) review, vendor selection, and procurement alignment
  5. Driving platform strategy across the network stack, evaluating new technologies and aligning tooling with long-term architectural principles

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of progressive network engineering experience
  • 3+ years in an architecture or principal-level role
  • Demonstrated experience owning network architecture across complex, multi-site environments including data centers, industrial facilities, and corporate networks
  • Deep expertise across network domains including IT, cloud, and industrial networking (IoT, OT, PLC, SCADA)
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and evolving production networks at scale
  • Strong background in network security frameworks, audits, and compliance initiatives
  • Experience working with vendors, carriers, and procurement teams on infrastructure builds
  • Strong understanding of change management and architectural governance processes

Nice to have

  • CCIE certification or equivalent expertise
  • CISSP, GICSP, or other security-focused certifications
  • Experience with high-performance networking for AI/ML or HPC workloads (e.g., RDMA, InfiniBand, low-latency fabrics)
  • Experience supporting infrastructure in energy, industrial, or edge compute environments
  • Background in high-growth or startup environments scaling global infrastructure
