Network Development Engineer I, Internet Edge Engineering

This role focuses on deploying, scaling, and automating network infrastructure for AWS global services, including creating deployment processes, defining network standards, and collaborating with automation teams to enhance scalability. It involves working with network fabrics, ensuring efficient internet traffic flow, and managing network designs from concept to production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be responsible for deploying network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports the Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments and multiple AWS services.
  2. Deploy, scale and automate our network across multiple global datacenters. This includes existing footprints and greenfield locations.
  3. Drive scaling of current network designs to meet the demand of our customers.
  4. Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality.
  5. Work closely with our internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production.
