Network Engineer, Foundation and Support (edge/backbone Infrastructure Design)

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Denver, CO +1

Network Engineer role focused on designing and delivering large-scale data center and Point of Presence (POP) network infrastructure, including space, power, cooling, and connectivity. Requires experience with ICT physical infrastructure, design standards, and project management in global colocation facilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designs, reviews, and optimizes ICT physical infrastructure — including structured cabling systems, floor/rack layouts, network hardware placement, and integrated communications systems — for large-scale data center and network deployments
  2. Develops and enforces Meta ICT design standards, best practices, and compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, BICSI)
  3. Develops optimized layouts of edge/backbone midpoint site floorplans, allocates space assigned to network functions, optical, backbone, IP, and compute
  4. Delivers on time Engineering Design Packages related site infrastructure scope for sourcing and capacity planning teams
  5. Manages global space, power, cooling, structured cabling, and other inside plant infrastructure delivery requirements to support Meta edge/backbone network deployments across owned and colocation facilities
