Network Engineer, Foundation & Support (dc Design)

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Denver, CO +2

Network Infrastructure Design Engineer responsible for designing and deploying network connectivity solutions at scale in data centers, collaborating with technical teams to ensure network infrastructure needs are met in new data center designs, including cooling, space, power, and connectivity. The role involves supporting Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and non-production networks, driving standardization, and improving design processes. While the role mentions integrating AI tools and adhering to AI practices, the core function is network engineering, not AI model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leverage in-depth subject-matter knowledge to represent the network infrastructure design and deployment needs for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and non-production networks, supporting the commissioning, provisioning, and ongoing operations of our global data centers
  2. Collaborate across highly technical teams including network engineering, data center design and construction, and data center connectivity to develop, document, and incorporate network infrastructure cooling, space, power, and connectivity requirements into Meta data center designs and standards
  3. Build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors
  4. Initiate and lead strategic initiatives driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization of network infrastructure within the data center environment
  5. Influence future iterations of data center and network designs to ensure seamless integration of new infrastructure technologies
