Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Network Engineer III to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. The role involves implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including configuring and monitoring network devices, supporting core networking technologies, and collaborating with IT teams on network changes. The position requires hands-on experience with multi-vendor networking equipment, strong troubleshooting skills, and a current Secret security clearance with IAT Level II or higher certification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper Networks
  2. Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving connectivity, latency, and packet-loss issues.
  3. Implement and support core networking technologies, including VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and basic network security controls
  4. Troubleshoot network incidents across LAN/WAN environments, conducting root cause analysis and documenting resolutions
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives
