Network Engineer Principal Specialist for Raytheon Digital Technology Classified Infrastructure Services in Tucson, AZ. Requires an active US Secret Security Clearance. What you'd actually do

  1. Focuses on Inter-team communication and organization of clear documentation of network details to support and enable smooth project growth.
  2. We ideally need someone with Cisco ISE experience with 802.1X, SolarWinds, and setting up client server environments for government networks.
  3. Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
  4. Develop technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors etc.
  5. Maintains network management software platforms.

Skills

Required

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
  • Active, In-Scope and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is highly desired within a year.
  • Cisco ISE experience with 802.1X, SolarWinds, and setting up client server environments for government networks.
  • Experience with current cabling and fiber standards.
  • Experience with access control list, security posture, and vendor best practices.
  • Experience with Visio diagramming and design capabilities.
  • 1-2 years of experience with network management software.
  • Willingness and availability to travel domestically as needed.
  • Knowledge of configuration and troubleshooting of encryption devices.
  • Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications.
  • Experience with platforms such as IP telephony, NTP servers, GemOne, and SolarWinds.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Experience with classified computing, STIG compliance, and network refreshes
