Network Security Architect - Senior Consultant

This role is for a Senior Network Security Architect within Deloitte's Enterprise Technology Strategy and Transformation group. The position focuses on improving clients' cyber and organizational risk profiles by delivering cyber services, identifying intrusions, and designing secure technical backbones. Responsibilities include designing and architecting enterprise-level technical stacks, implementing security solutions like SASE and firewalls, and working with cloud security tools and guardrails. The role requires experience in cloud, network, and identity security domains, as well as container security and workload protection.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and architecture of enterprise-level technical stacks, including VPNs, CDN solutions, Load Balancers, Subnetting, Next-Generation firewall design, and highly scalable security solutions like Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies
  2. Experience with container security and workload protection (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  3. Experience with one or more cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and native security tools
  4. Experience with cloud security guardrails for major CSPs (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  5. Experience with CNAAP, SASE, or enterprise firewall solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Snyk, SentinelOne, or similar cloud security platforms)

Required

  • BA/BS degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Cyber Security)
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible experience in cloud, network, or identity security domains
  • 3+ years of experience with CNAAP, SASE, or enterprise firewall solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Snyk, SentinelOne, or similar cloud security platforms)
  • 3+ years of experience with container security and workload protection (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 3+ years of experience with one or more cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and native security tools
  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud security guardrails for major CSPs (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • 4+ years of experience in the design and architecture of enterprise-level technical stacks, including VPNs, CDN solutions, Load Balancers, Subnetting, Next-Generation firewall design, and highly scalable security solutions like Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies

  • 2+ years leading client workshop demonstrating and influencing decisions in tool selection, architecture design, and education enablement
  • 2+ years serving in a leadership capacity over the implementation of Palo Alto Networks, CrowdStrike or similar security solutions in large, complex environments with multiple stakeholders
  • 1+ years managing teams in a technical capacity
  • Technical certification (eg CISSP) or vendor supplied certification specific to security/cyber and/or equivalents

Nice to have

  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks and/or Crowdstrike’s platform of solutions
  • Strong understanding of vendor competitive analysis (e.g., Wiz vs Snyk)
  • Ability to communicate and advise on solution design based on client use-cases, requirements, or other success criteria
  • Previous consulting or “Big 4” experience
  • Previous experience managing project budgets, resource models, P&L management
  • Relevant advanced cybersecurity or related certifications (e.g., PCNSE, CCIE, CISSP)
