Northrop Grumman is seeking an NG Fellow 1 with extensive experience in Weapons Systems, missile life-cycle, and systems engineering to provide scientific, technical, and intellectual leadership. This role involves driving technological strategy, developing advanced applications, and ensuring the successful design, operation, and production of complex systems, requiring a Top Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Designs research and develops highly advanced new applications resulting in product/business opportunities for the company.
  2. Experience in Weapons Systems to include design, operation, and production
  3. Experience with systems engineering and broad technical oversight.
  4. Experience in developing requirements and verification plans, and negotiations with customer and user communities.
  5. Proficiency with the development of architecture and requirements for a missile system.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field and 20+ years of related experience; 18+ years of experience with a Masters; 15+ years of experience with a PhD.
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance
  • Experience with the missile life-cycle, from conceptual design to fielding.
  • Experience working with IPT Leads and Chief Engineers.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

  • Experience with multiple types of launch platforms and interceptors.
  • Supervisory or management responsibilities for projects engaged in research and/or product development in more than one engineering discipline.

What the JD emphasized

  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
