Non-destructive Inspection Technician

This role involves performing non-destructive inspections on composite wing structures using specialized equipment, including automated robotic systems. The technician will analyze data, make acceptance/rejection decisions, develop procedures, and document findings. It requires ASNT Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing and experience with data analysis software.

What you'd actually do

  1. Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
  2. Develops procedures and processes
  3. Conducts inspections with Automated robotic equipment, analyzes data, and decides on acceptance or rejection of wing structures
  4. Documents and communicates failures with non-conformance records
  5. Provides feedback on adverse trends

Skills

Required

  • ASNT/NAS410-Compliant Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing (UT) certification
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • Willingness to work variable shifts
  • Willingness to travel 5%

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in NDI or NDT
  • Current or prior ASNT/NAS410-Compliant Level 2 certification in Ultrasonics (800 hours OJT, 80 hours classroom)
  • On-job-training hours submitted prior to interview
  • 1+ years of experience with data analysis on non-destructive inspection software
  • 1+ years of experience working independently and in team environments
