Northrop Grumman is seeking a Non-Destructive Test Technician (Level 3 or 4) to perform NDT tests on aerospace products using techniques like UT and Eddy current. Responsibilities include setting up and operating equipment, interpreting results, and providing training. Requires High School diploma, NDT Level II certification in UT and Eddy current, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma
  • 4 Years of NDT related experience (Level 3) / 6 Years (Level 4)
  • NDT Level II certification in UT and Eddy current
  • Radiation safety training documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint and engineering drawings
  • Ability to pass vision screen and color blindness tests
  • Ability to pass General, Specific, and practical exams
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access

Nice to have

  • Aerospace or aviation experience
  • Experience with X-ray film and non-film methods
  • Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and other Quality / NDT auditing / accreditation systems
  • Experience with digital/computed radiography (CR)
  • Experience with Automated Through Transmission Systems
  • Experience with MAUS systems
  • Experience with Multiple brands of Flaw detectors
  • Experience in the interpretation of flaws in Composites
  • Certification in other NDT methods (Flash thermography)
  • Willingness to cross train in other NDT methods
