Boeing is seeking Nondestructive Test (NDT) Technicians to perform inspections on aerospace products using methods like ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), and radiographic (RT). The role involves conducting tests, documenting procedures, analyzing data, and potentially training junior personnel. Candidates must obtain Boeing NDT certification and pass a vision exam, with documented evidence of NDT education or OJT hours required. A U.S. Security Clearance is also mandatory.

What you'd actually do

  1. Completes structured training programs to gain knowledge of NDT methods, including but not limited to UT, ET, RT, MT, PT.
  2. Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment to controlled standards.
  3. Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up test equipment.
  4. Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity.
  5. Assists with standard corrective action recommendations.

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formalized NDT Training and/or formal documented hours of NDT Training and Experience equivalent to ASNT / NAS410 standards / or military equivalent in UT or RT
  • More than 1 year of experience working with tools or machinery from vocational courses, shop environments, or military experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Nice to have

  • Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Currently hold or have you previously held within the last 18 months) Level II NDT certification in Ultrasonic (UT) or Radiography (RT)
  • More than 1 year of experience determining, applying, and performing arithmetic operations in order to solve complex math problems. This includes the ability to extract relevant information from tables, charts, graphs, text, spot relevant trends in data, and create and document models that can be used by others
  • Knowledge of aircraft or vehicle maintenance
  • Technical/Vocational education in a related field
