JOB SUMMARY*
The NPI & LCM Senior Engineer will drive projects, though initiative and judgment to work with limited supervision and direction. Ensures the smooth transfer of products and processes from Research and Development (R&D) into Supply Chain. Acts as a liaison between R&D and Supply Chain; clearly communicates requirements for new product introductions to manufacturing. Ensures that products and processes meet the targeted yield and capability when transferred from R&D into manufacturing. Ensures that products and processes are designed for manufacturability. Designs and develops (or directs those who do) tools, jigs, fixtures and other equipment required to aid in the production and/or inspection of the product. Performs product and process characterization and process/product qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ and APQ). Designs and develops Test Methods (when applicable) for use on the production floor. Applies Process Excellence tools when applicable. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. Mentoring and coaching Junior Engineers during the process.
Additional duties of this role would include writing/updating work instructions, part specifications, validation protocols, technical documents, and various forms of reports and correspondence. The NPI & LCM Senior Engineer will be dedicated to supporting new product development, NPD transfers and responsible for lifecycle engineering and improvement, yield improvement, mechanical and electrical assembly, troubleshooting where needed, and various other projects including but not limited to the testing and design of toolings, requirements, and validation protocols. The NPI & LCM Senior Engineer will be responsible for selecting design directions and modifications of system components. The NPI & LCM Senior Engineer will lead decisions on scope of work, selection of equipment and length of tasks. Furthermore, additional responsibilities also include deciding on design and process changes to meet revised specifications, providing and developing solutions to problems of limited scope.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*

· Responsible for the cost reductions efforts of all products, materials, and techniques using engineering principles and financial impacts.
· Makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
· Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of his/her field and related sciences and disciplines.
· Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments.

· Responsible for the purchase or design of equipment that meets health, safety and environmental standards set by the company.
· Responsible for performing design reviews and pre-validation assessments to ensure the safe and environmentally sound start-up of new processes.

· Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION*
· BS Engineering degree in relevant discipline
· 3-5 years of related engineering experience
· MS degree preferred in a related engineering discipline.
· Has significant complex level engineering experience.
· Financial background experience in the field of Operations would be beneficial.
· Experience in the medical device industry would be an asset.
· Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS_*_
· Must possess a clear mastery of theoretical and practical fundamentals and experimental engineering techniques.
· Strong English communication skills, written and oral.
· Ability to present presentations to upper management a plus.
· Knowledge of drafting software systems such as AutoCad and Solidworks is preferred.
· Knowledge of statistical software packages such as Minitab a plus.
· Project Management skills a plus.
· Process Excellence tools such as Lean and Six Sigma certification a plus.
· Business/financial acumen

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$79,000.00 - $127,650.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
