Software Engineer role focused on developing and deploying test software solutions for the manufacturing of electro-mechanical components within a medical robotics system. Responsibilities include designing automated test algorithms, building scalable software infrastructure, ensuring repeatability and validation, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated MedTech environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with the Manufacturing and Design teams to design, develop, document, and qualify test software used during the manufacturing of electro-mechanical components and subassemblies of a medical robotics system.
  2. Develop test algorithms, test scripts, data acquisition and measurement systems with focus on repeatability and reproducibility.
  3. Write well designed, testable code to automate test processes utilizing in-house developed software frameworks.
  4. Develop infrastructure such as common libraries and APIs to support multiple teams test software across manufacturing.
  5. Provide debugging and troubleshooting support on in-house developed software scripts and processes.

Skills

Required

  • bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • instrumentation automation
  • scripting languages such as Python, Shell, SQL, Batch, Bash, or Linux commands
  • software engineering and development tools
  • high quality documentation
  • test software, scripting and test software design
  • travel up to 10%
