Npmc Operational Technician II

This role supports critical output systems for customer communications, focusing on maintenance, testing, validation, and process improvements for high-volume data and document platforms within GEICO's National Print Mail Center.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist with maintenance and support of NPMC systems, including document composition platforms, production servers, and network infrastructure.
  2. Analyze and test changes to customer documents and mailing processes.
  3. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and system efficiency.
  4. Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to evaluate changes and ensure successful implementations.
  5. Assist in maintaining the infrastructure that supports GEICO’s large‑scale mailing and document delivery processes.

Skills

Required

  • Understanding of data servers and network connections
  • Proven attention to detail, strong critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills
  • Experience in writing business requirements & test plans
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include word, excel, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills.
  • Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information and follow processes that have been published.
  • Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, professional oral or written manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers, and other employees of the organization.
  • May be required to be on call for production support 24x7.
  • Must be able to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

  • Basic data analysis or reporting experience (SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Familiarity with process automation tools or scripting (Python, PowerShell, automation platforms, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing or working with large data sets or high‑volume operational processes
  • Exposure to document composition, output management, or print/mail production environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications or production systems
