Boeing is hiring Numerical Control Programmers for their Fabrication South Carolina Aerostructures team. The role involves supporting complex CNC machining operations, driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and optimizing fabrication and finishing operations for large scale sheet metal aerostructures, specifically for 737 MAX & 777X Lipskin fabrication. Responsibilities include developing and supporting NC programming for 5-axis machining, establishing process controls, supporting production troubleshooting, and providing technical guidance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and fully support all NC Programming activity for large scale 5-axis machining of lipskins
  2. Establish and monitor process controls, KPIs, and SPC for fabrication and machining processes; implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Support production troubleshooting, line startup, and ramp-up activities; provide training and technical guidance to production teams.
  4. Provides expertise in numerical control, machining, programming and Design For Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) in support of new and ongoing projects.
  5. Plans and guides the development and integration of machining techniques, manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment to support the design, manufacture and inspection of parts and assemblies.

Skills

Required

  • 4 or more years of manufacturing experience in metal fabrication and machining.
  • 4 or more years of experience in Numerical Control (NC) Programming

Nice to have

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • experience with root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA etc).
