This role is for a Growth Account Executive in South Africa focused on selling Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Generative AI solutions to enterprise customers. The primary responsibility is to identify, create, and close new business opportunities, drive OCI and AI adoption, and build executive relationships. It involves strategic prospecting, managing complex sales cycles, and collaborating with internal teams and partners to achieve sales targets.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive net-new OCI business, new logo acquisition, account expansion, and cloud consumption growth across your assigned territory.
  2. Develop and execute targeted territory and account plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  3. Generate and qualify new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, partner engagement, and market outreach.
  4. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to consistently exceed sales goals.
  5. Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
