This is an internship program for transitioning military veterans and active-duty Military Spouses focused on providing job-skill training and professional development in fields such as information technology, with a specific mention of network development engineering. The role involves supporting the design, deployment, and operations of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) networks, focusing on network fabric and systems through protocol-level understanding and programming skills. Responsibilities include participating in design, providing break-fix support, leading root cause analysis, and developing solutions for network failure conditions. The role requires experience in networking technologies, scripting languages like Python, and network automation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Primarily focused on the development and support of network fabric and systems through a combination of a deep level understanding of networking at the protocol level coupled with programming skills.
  2. Participates in network solution and architecture design process.
  3. Provide break-fix support for events. Serve as the escalation point for event remediation. Lead post-event root cause analysis.
  4. Join major event/incident calls, use technical and analytical skills to resolve network issues that impact Oracle customers/services
  5. Fault handling and escalation - Identifying and responding to faults on OCI’s systems and networks, collaborating closely with 3rd party suppliers, handling escalation through to resolution.
