Production Line Engineer responsible for managing shift loop operations to meet quality and output goals in a semiconductor fabrication environment. Key responsibilities include strategic WIP management, optimizing loop performance, coordinating maintenance, gathering tool status, documenting utilization gaps, and understanding root causes for missed goals. Requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in manufacturing or semiconductor operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Strategic WIP (Work in Progress) management of critical queue time loops across several buildings. (F12, F22, F32, F42, F52 - Fabs at OTF)
  2. Developing plans to optimize loop performance and partner with Manufacturing Engineers to implement plans.
  3. Coordinating preventive maintenances (PMs), downtime, tool reservations (including factory warm downs) through strong communication and partnership with the loop modules and Manufacturing.
  4. Gathering tool status and determining release strategy (tactical 12 hr. plans)
  5. Documenting/understanding utilization gaps for loop tools and systematically driving learnings into the modules

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or STEM related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in at least two of the following: Manufacturing or semiconductor environment experience, Wafer fabrication experience and operations., Manufacturing system management., Inventory management., Troubleshooting experience, Process flow experience, Model Based Problem Solving experience .

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with manufacturing operation systems and WIP management fundamentals.
  • Technical experience with the area specific toolset.
  • Experience with factory physics.
