Thyme Care is a healthcare company that uses technology and AI to support people with cancer. This role is for an Oncology Nurse Team Lead who will manage and oversee frontline nurse teams, ensuring they deliver high standards of clinical care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing clinical escalations, providing training and coaching, driving team performance, and enhancing service offerings by communicating feedback. The role requires strong leadership, healthcare experience (oncology, nurse navigator/case manager), and knowledge of provider/health plan operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. oversee and manage one or more of our frontline nurse teams, ensuring their ability to deliver the highest standards of clinical care and operational efficiency as they advocate, coach, and provide members with clinical guidance throughout their care journey.
  2. manage clinical escalations, provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to your teams, drive the productivity and performance of your team, and foster cross-team collaboration.
  3. driving individual and team performance, identifying opportunities for quality improvement initiatives and enhancing Thyme Care’s service offerings by effectively communicating feedback to our clinical leadership from members, providers, and your teams.
  4. Directly manage and serve as an escalation point to a team of Oncology Nurses, including but not limited to escalated member or caregiver interactions and process-related questions or issues.
  5. Understand the performance of your direct team members, both quality and productivity and address issues and challenges through coaching, mentorship, and performance improvement plans.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • multi-state, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) compact license
  • at least 8 years of nursing experience
  • 2 years as a people manager in oncology and/or case management
  • certified as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Specialist (AOCNS), or Certified Case Manager (CCM)
