What you'd actually do

  1. Build and maintain tools that ease building and releasing Open Source software at Datadog
  2. Build and maintain tools that ease ingesting Open Source software at Datadog
  3. Create developer facing documentation and training materials around contributing to open source and maintaining open source projects
  4. Interface with open source communities to understand problems and trends in the market
  5. Create tools to automatically analyze and report on Open Source repositories trends and statistics

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience as a software developer, SRE, or other practitioner
  • Fluent in reading and writing one or more languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, C#, Rust)
  • Love building tools that make other engineers more productive
  • Empathy, collaboration, and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Active member of an open source community
  • Familiar with different Open Source licenses and Contributor License Agreements
