Operates manufacturing equipment to assemble, test, and inspect products according to documented manufacturing process instructions. This role records functions and activities in batch history records and other quality records, and complies with company requirements, policies, and procedures, including quality, safety, and environmental policies. The role also involves cleaning workstations/equipment, preparing final product labeling and packaging, preparing packaging for shipment, verifying quantities, and completing LHR documentation for traceability. Additionally, it involves identifying non-conformances, root causes, and proposing solutions, following Lean Manufacturing practices, suggesting process improvements, mastering multiple operations, and training to become a subject matter expert (SME) to support line training and pilot development with engineering teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Clean workstations/equipment and perform line clearance according to documented procedures,
  2. Build sub-assemblies and/or final assemblies following MPIs,
  3. Perform in-process inspections to ensure specifications are met and monitor equipment parameters, adjusting as necessary,
  4. Prepare final product labeling and packaging and ensure only correctly labeled products proceed to finished goods,
  5. Prepare packaging for shipment, verify quantities and complete LHR documentation for traceability,

Skills

Required

  • 1 to 3 years of recent (within the last 6 months) experience working with small components in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience preferred
  • Completion of ninth grade or equivalent education
  • Ability to follow procedures in a controlled/cleanroom environment, including compliance with GMP and GDP regulations
  • Ability to perform precision assembly and testing tasks, including microscope-assisted work and manipulation of small parts
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 lbs (7 kg) as required

Nice to have

  • Experience working with adhesives and bonding processes (e.g., Loctite, Dimas), including UV light curing
  • Proficiency in handling sharp instruments such as knives, scalpels, and box cutters
  • Experience in soldering techniques, including flux soldering and use of soldering iron; exposure to laser or ultrasonic welding is a plus
