Operational Effectiveness Specialist (pcp) 15 Months Training Programme

This role is part of a training program focused on operational effectiveness within biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The specialist will lead and coach using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, deploy an Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) 'way of working', and contribute to site performance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include training colleagues, guiding Green and Yellow Belts, measuring site performance, leading problem-solving initiatives, managing projects for site stabilization, and tracking performance metrics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build six sigma and lean capability of colleagues through training and coaching (including IMEx orientation, IMEx elements, Innovation, process capability, M1 training and certification, 5S etc.)
  2. Provide leadership & guidance to Green Belts (Method 2) and Yellow Belts (Method 1)
  3. Support OE lead in measuring site performance against balanced score card as well as long term goals and identifying largest sources of loss and greatest improvement opportunities
  4. Lead and facilitate structured problem solving to resolve largest sources of loss.
  5. Support OE lead in facilitating Goal Cascade, Goal setting aligned to site goals for process centric teams (PCTs) supported.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science or related discipline
  • Experience in engaging multiple stakeholders and driving to alignment and action.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence peers and leaders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and working independently to deliver results.
  • Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and independently to resolve issues
  • Possesses a can-do / pride to succeed attitude
  • Embraces the use of digital technology to scale and speed up every form of interaction and action
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Nice to have

  • Masters degree
  • Knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), and manufacturing procedures and standards
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
