Operations & Maintenance Engineer

Seeking an Operations & Maintenance Engineer with expertise in IT/OT networks in high-security, government-regulated environments. The role involves systems administration, automation of Linux-based infrastructure, network monitoring, and ensuring compliance with government frameworks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee the daily operational health and performance of OT-focused network and monitoring solutions in classified and mission-critical environments
  2. Conduct periodic and ad-hoc assessments of network/server infrastructure, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Rocky, RedHawk) to identify areas for optimization and hardening
  3. Apply experience in automating system baselines and patching using Ansible, Bash, and Kickstart to improve consistency and reduce downtime
  4. Collaborate with engineering, development, and security teams to support DevSecOps best practices, streamline updates, and ensure continuous ATO readiness aligned with DISA STIG, NIST, and RMF frameworks
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux and network issues, providing mentoring support to junior administrators and team members
