What you'd actually do

  1. Manage a team of Operation Program Managers, supporting production schedules and production requirements.
  2. Responsibilities include cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.
  3. Functions as an advisor to unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations.
  4. Routinely meet with production and engineering Leadership, to build strong relationships, and advise and discuss program strategies and execution plans.
  5. Determine and develop staffing profiles and schedules to meet program requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in leadership and project management
  • Experience with Cost Point or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government DoW Secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management
  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
  • Manufacturing or Engineering experience
  • Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • STEM Degree
  • Current Special Program Access
  • Program capture execution from EMD through FRP
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies for change
  • Experienced in dynamic environments where there may be schedule changes, design changes and validation failures
