This role is for an Operations Program Manager (OPM) who will focus on enhancing traditional program management with AI and automation. The individual will champion the adoption of AI tools, act as a liaison between operations and technical teams, identify opportunities for AI/automation, manage the rollout and adoption of new capabilities, and prioritize initiatives. The role requires an understanding of AI/ML concepts and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, but not to build models directly. The primary focus is on applying existing AI tools to improve operational efficiency and scalability within an enterprise context.

What you'd actually do

  1. AI & Automation Evangelism: Champion the adoption of AI and automation across operations teams. Build awareness, drive excitement, and help partners see how emerging technology can enhance their work.
  2. Technology Orchestration: Serve as the connection between Operations teams and technical teams (systems engineering, data science, automation). Ensure the right problems are being solved with the right tools, and that solutions land effectively.
  3. Opportunity Identification: Partner closely with fellow Operations teammates to understand workflows, pain points, and high-value opportunities where automation or AI can improve speed, accuracy, or scalability.
  4. Adoption & Change Management: Own the rollout of new AI/automation capabilities into operations. Drive training, feedback loops, and iteration to ensure tools are adopted and delivering value.
  5. Roadmap & Prioritization: Maintain a portfolio of automation and AI initiatives. Prioritize based on business impact, feasibility, and operational readiness. Write narratives (BRDs, PRFAQs) that connect technology investment to business outcomes.
