Optical Networking Research Post-doc

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Athens, Greece

Research Scientist role focused on developing next-generation 6G optical networking architectures, specifically building Layer 1 and Layer 2 topology managers for real-time orchestration and control in cloud-native and AI cluster environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and develop a lightweight Layer 1 (L1) topology manager using efficient data structures such as lookup tables and key-value stores.
  2. Build a Layer 2 (L2) topology manager to model cluster-level connectivity and underlying network fabrics.
  3. Contribute to the architecture and implementation of topology services within an ambitious collaborative research project.
  4. Work together on combining topology management with orchestration and control systems in cloud-native and AI cluster environments.
  5. Work closely with a dedicated team of researchers and engineers to advance 6G and optical networking technologies.
