What you'd actually do

  1. Formulate, develop, and implement mathematical optimization models, algorithms, and decision support tools to address business and operational problems
  2. Translate business requirements into quantitative modeling frameworks, including defining objectives, constraints, assumptions, and performance metrics
  3. Design, prototype, test, and deploy optimization‑based solutions within production environments
  4. Analyze, validate, and calibrate models to ensure accuracy, robustness, and alignment with business objectives
  5. Evaluate alternative modeling approaches and solution methods to improve performance, scalability, and solution quality
