Oracle Financial Analyst I

Expedia Group is seeking a Financial Analyst I to join their Global Finance Technology team. This role involves supporting the configuration and use of Oracle Cloud FAH and related financial modules, working with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into functional designs, and helping to design and validate financial integration flows. The analyst will participate in testing, issue analysis, and production rollouts, analyze accounting outputs, and contribute to documentation and training. The position is ideal for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA with 0-1 years of experience, offering a career path in Oracle ERP Cloud functional consulting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support configuration and use of Oracle Cloud FAH and related financial modules
  2. Work with product, engineering and accounting teams to turn business requirements into functional designs
  3. Help design and validate eCommerce financial integration flows from source systems to accounting
  4. Participate in requirements, testing (incl. UAT), issue analysis and production rollout
  5. Analyze accounting outputs (journals, ledgers, P&L, balance sheet) and help resolve discrepancies

Skills

Required

  • Newly qualified Chartered Accountant or MBA with 0–1 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong foundation in financial accounting and business processes
  • Journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet
  • Accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and closing processes
  • Understanding of basic GAAP concepts
  • Comfortable working with financial and accounting data; able to analyze results and spot anomalies or trends
  • Curious about how large-scale organizations implement accounting in ERP systems and eager to build skills in Oracle ERP Cloud / Oracle Financials
  • Ability to learn quickly, break down complex problems, and work independently as well as in a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good critical thinking and documentation skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality

Nice to have

  • articleship / internship experience in audit, controllership, or ERP projects is a plus
