Northrop Grumman is seeking an Organizational Effectiveness Talent Consultant - Level 4 to join their Space sector Human Resources team. This role will focus on assessing talent needs, enhancing leader and team effectiveness, and driving culture and organizational change. Responsibilities include designing and facilitating training, developing talent strategy, assessing organizational challenges, and identifying high-potential talent.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and facilitate leadership and team engagements, training, and other learning experiences, virtually and face-to-face.
  2. Lead culture and organization change efforts to improve performance and employee experience.
  3. Develop, and execute on sector talent strategy and priorities, acting as a liaison between sector, HR Business Partners, and client organizations.
  4. Assess organizational challenges in partnership with HR and design and implement comprehensive solutions to enhance performance.
  5. Consult with sector HR team to assess potential and identify high-potential talent across all levels of the organization and manage development plans to accelerate readiness and guide transitions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources or a related field – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience leading talent management programs and processes to prepare talent in alignment with business strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with HR and senior leaders using a data-driven approach to assess talent needs and facilitate succession planning and transition planning to support business continuity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end‑to‑end organizational interventions (assessment to implementation) and large‑scale change initiatives that align with the company’s business strategy.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on how to use Organizational Development (OD) processes and tools to accelerate business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/clients simultaneously, mitigate and escalate risk, adapt to shifting priorities, and navigate ambiguous situations.
  • Experience creating and delivering professional presentations—both virtual and in‑person—leveraging excellent facilitation and presentation skills to meet engagement objectives and audience needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint).

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness or Talent Management roles.
  • Prior experience as an internal or external consultant in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Prior experience with and/or certifications in common assessments and models related to organization development and leadership and team effectiveness.
  • Experience working with highly skilled technical talent and/or early career talent.
  • Certificate in coaching or certified executive coach.
  • Relationship-building with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning.
  • Solid consulting skills with the ability to scope problems, recommend practical solutions, gain client buy-in, and deliver desired results.
