This role is for an OTA Validation Engineer focused on validating Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates for automotive ECUs and vehicles. Responsibilities include designing and executing test cases, performing functional and regression testing, developing Python test automation, analyzing logs, and investigating defects. The role requires experience in software validation, embedded systems, or automotive engineering, with basic Python and Linux command line skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and execute manual and automated test cases for OTA software features and system requirements.
  2. Validate OTA update workflows across HIL benches, lab vehicles, and prototype vehicles, including ECU communication and vehicle functionality.
  3. Perform functional and regression testing across vehicle ECUs under various network, power, and update conditions.
  4. Develop and maintain Python-based test automation to improve coverage and regression efficiency.
  5. Analyze logs, investigate defects, verify fixes with engineering teams, and document test results, bug reports, and validation artifacts.
