This role involves performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment within Intel's Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) in a cleanroom environment. The technician will also support engineering teams with experiments and data collection, and collaborate during factory ramps.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in manufacturing equipment.
  2. Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and install equipment based on blueprints, layout plans, and technical manuals.
  3. Conduct setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, collaborating with suppliers for service and repairs when needed.
  4. Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to improve reliability and address module-related issues.
  5. Create reports documenting equipment failures and update or develop specifications to enhance overall maintenance and performance.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/equivalent (with 2+ years of experience) OR an Associates Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field of study
  • 2+ years' experience in Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • 2+ years' experience in dismantle, repair, and assemble of equipment

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with robotic systems, including drives, actuators, and microcontrollers.
  • Experience interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Background in electro-mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Semiconductor equipment maintenance experience.
  • Cleanroom operations experience.
