This role focuses on developing and executing Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategies for pharmaceutical assets, generating evidence to support market access, pricing, and reimbursement in Japan. Responsibilities include conducting economic analyses, developing value dossiers, managing literature reviews, performing database analyses, and coordinating cross-functional efforts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan and execute HEOR strategy as the V&I Plan for assigned assets, including value hypotheses, evidence generation, timelines, and implementation
  2. Conduct a country adaptation of cost‑effectiveness, and budget impact analyses to support pricing and reimbursement and to meet HTA expectations
  3. Develop core HEOR deliverables: Value dossiers and payer evidence materials for Japan HTA, Economic models (CEA/CUA, budget impact) and model adaptations for Japan, Systematic/scoping literature reviews and indirect treatment comparisons/NMA, Retrospective database analyses and real‑world evidence (RWE) studies
  4. Translate field and payer insights into actionable evidence plans; identify access barriers, demand hurdles, and evidence gaps and propose solutions
  5. Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with Medical, Pricing & Market Access, Policy, Clinical Development, and Field/Marketing teams to align on evidence needs and delivery

What the JD emphasized

  • Doctoral degree from a recognized school of medicine, public health, management, pharmacy, or economics - OR - Master’s Degree required from a recognized school of medicine, public health, life science, pharmacy, or economics.
  • 3 or more years relevant experience in the areas of health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, market access, HTA or related field
  • A track record of scientific presentations and publications
  • Business level of English and Japanese
