Package Power Integrity Intern

Internship role focused on Power Integrity/Delivery Electrical analysis for IC packages, involving extraction, analysis, and optimization of high-performance interfaces. Requires Masters/PhD in Electrical Engineering and experience with simulation tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. The candidate will work on Power Integrity (PI) of IC packages and is responsible for the performance of those packages.
  2. PI Engineers are responsible for the extraction, analysis, and optimization of the high performance interfaces for electronic components.
  3. Review electrical technical specifications and work with package design teams to assure package designs meet those specifications.
  4. The candidate will have an understanding in the areas of Power Integrity or electromagnetics.
  5. The candidate should be a self-motivated engineer who has some technical background in electrical analysis and design.

Skills

Required

  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering student
  • 1 year experience with circuit and electromagnetic simulation tools

Nice to have

  • Hands-on power integrity, or related experience in product design
  • SPICE, Ansys tools (HFSS, Q2D, Q3D), Cadence tools (Allegro, Power SI), etc.
  • Understanding of IC Packaging
