Packaging Apprentice

This is an apprenticeship role in pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically in the packaging area of a highly automated facility. The apprentice will work as a Lilly employee while pursuing education at a local community college, with the goal of converting to an Operator/Process Technician upon completion of the apprenticeship requirements. Responsibilities include operating automated equipment, adhering to safety and quality standards, and documenting processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Adhere to RTP Plant safety policies and procedures, contribute to a safe work environment.
  2. Setup and operate highly automated equipment in the Packaging area.
  3. Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product.
  4. Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation (Electronic Ticket, SAP, Cleaning Logs, etc.).
  5. Attain and maintain qualification for the operation of assigned process equipment and duties in the area.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • BioWork Certification
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation
  • Ability to complete ongoing education requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States
