Packaging Operator II (nightshift)

This role is for a Packaging Operator II at Johnson & Johnson, responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining packaging equipment, performing inspections, and ensuring accurate lot changes and documentation in a manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

What you'd actually do

  1. Products produced at the facility periodically require re-cartoning and / or additional inspections. This position works under minimal direction.
  2. Manually inspects cartons and/or lenses, as needed, to meet formal specification requirements to identify and isolate defects.
  3. Performs many of the responsibilities vital to operate, adjust, and maintain the Packaging cartoners.
  4. Responsible for performing accurate lot changes and documentation.
  5. Adheres to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Environmental policies and procedures and supports Department objectives.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to operate all Packaging Equipment

Nice to have

  • visual acuity (reading fine print and inspecting lenses and cartons)
  • light lifting (Up to 23 lbs.)
