Paid Creative Ops Manager

Whatnot Whatnot · Consumer · Los Angeles, CA · Marketing

Whatnot is seeking a Paid Creative Ops Manager to own the operational layer behind their paid creative engine. This role involves defining creative performance frameworks, improving operational systems, managing production workflows, and automating tooling. The ideal candidate will have experience in consulting, creative operations, or strategy and operations at a high-growth consumer company, with a track record of building scalable systems and strong analytical and project management skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define what “working” means, build the dashboards and review cadences, own the metrics that guide creative investment, and surface what we should make more of, stop making, or test next.
  2. Audit the existing creative ops infrastructure, including tagging, naming, asset libraries, brief templates, and vendor relationships. Build what’s missing and fix what’s slowing the team down.
  3. Build the system that tracks every asset from brief to live placement, including localization across markets and brand-fit auditing at volume.
  4. Own the creative ops stack, including Airtable / Sigma / Snowflake platforms, tagging automation, reporting pipelines and the final dashboards. Identify what can be automated and ship it, partnering with Data and Eng where needed.
  5. Sit at the seam between Performance Marketing, Influencer, and in-house Creative teams. Drive alignment, make tradeoffs visible, and escalate when needed.
