Stripe is seeking a Partner Development Manager for its Financial Partnership Capabilities team. This role will focus on developing and executing high-impact product partnership initiatives and strategies with card network partners like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. The responsibilities include driving innovation, negotiating commercial agreements, crafting partnership strategies, influencing internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring operational execution and compliance. The role requires extensive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, and the payments/card network industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive new product partnership innovation with Stripe’s most critical card network partners, with a focus on executing joint initiatives and launching new offerings that benefit Stripe users
  2. Negotiate commercial agreements with card network partners that impact Stripe and its users’ cost of payments acceptance
  3. Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe’s strategy
  4. Influence both internal product teams and external stakeholders to modify or build innovative solutions that fit the modern day payments landscape and deliver more secure yet seamless merchant and consumer experiences
  5. Gather inputs from and coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury) to drive creation and execution of product partnership strategy
