Partner Sales Engineer

Samsara is seeking a Partner Sales Engineer to drive technology conversations with existing and potential partners and customers. This role involves deep discovery into partner environments to find solution fit, determine integration effort, and assess revenue opportunities. The engineer will act as a technical resource, delivering presentations, demos, and training, and influencing product development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Driving engagement with Partners, particularly with technical counterparts
  2. Finding solution fit with Partners and foster new technology focused opportunities
  3. Developing relationships with key Partners, and become an expert on Partner environments and solutions
  4. Working closely with Product Management, and other relevant teams, to develop and maintain integrations with Partners. Influence product development and be a partner advocate
  5. Delivering presentations, demos, proof of value, trainings, and overall being a technical resource for Partners and Partner facing teams

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales technical role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, etc.)
  • Strong technical and business acumen
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of various integration standards and transports (XML, REST, )

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working in a Channel or Partner environment a plus, major plus in a Fleet Sales environment
