Uber is seeking a Partnership, Launch & Expansion Manager in Tokyo, Japan, to drive growth through service area expansion and strategic partnerships. This role involves managing launches, stimulating demand, building external relationships with governments and industry leaders, and executing collaborative projects. The manager will use data analysis to build business models, provide insights, track initiatives, and communicate strategic opportunities. Key responsibilities include stakeholder management, negotiation, and optimizing the mobility marketplace through data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.

What you'd actually do

  1. manage the expansion of our service areas
  2. manage multiple launches —ranging from strategic prioritization and schedule management to monitoring the marketplace health (supply-demand balance) of newly launched areas
  3. leverage Uber’s global brand equity to create powerful synergies with external partners, including municipal governments, airlines, and other industry leaders
  4. acquire new customers and increase frequency by designing and executing collaborative projects
  5. build business models to better understand trends, provide useful insights, and track productivity of initiatives to ensure we're driving toward the best possible outcomes
