What you'd actually do

  1. Source and reach out to sellers to convince them to join and grow their business on Whatnot. Leverage social media, outbound channels, and in-person events
  2. Partner with top sellers and strategic partners to build big businesses on Whatnot
  3. Be the go-to advisor for our sellers, educating and coaching them on ways to grow their businesses on Whatnot. Create the next generation of top sellers in your category
  4. Spearhead diverse marketing initiatives, such as influencer partnerships, to boost brand awareness and attract more buyers
  5. Utilize large sets of data efficiently in order to inform category & country plans, as well as track and report on outcomes

Skills

Required

  • Fluent English
  • Native Japanese
  • 6+ years of mixed experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing role in high output environments
  • Experience working in a business development or partner-facing role
  • Scrappy and flexible enough to work in an ambiguous environment with limited guidance
  • Problem solver with strong project management skills
  • Ability to fully own strategy and execution on both sides of an emerging marketplace
