This role is for a Parts Fabricator Tech I at Johnson & Johnson, responsible for reading diagrams, maintaining equipment, record keeping, and fabricating parts according to specifications. It requires a high school diploma, WORKKEYS certification, and skills in machining, mathematics, and blueprint reading.

What you'd actually do

  1. Read diagrams, sketches, blueprints, operation manuals and manufacturing specifications related to assigned equipment.
  2. Accurate record keeping via computer management systems and/or via manual systems by inputting and retrieving maintenance data, and other pertinent data following standard procedures.
  3. Follow current compliance regulations and standards.
  4. Work in accordance with Ethicon environmental policies and procedures.
  5. Independently recognize and solve problems with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure on breakdowns and works towards effectively managing deadlines in completing breakdown, maintenance and project activities.

  • Successful completion of WORKKEYS with a score of (5) FIVE or higher on all ETHICON required modules GOLD Level.
  • Strong record of accomplishments with automated equipment is preferred.
  • Attending and successfully complete required training as well as keeping tabs of changes in process control methods and practices especially as they may apply to ETHICON, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting using proper equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of and can use the machinist handbook
