Northrop Grumman is seeking a Parts Materials and Processes (PM&P) Engineering Section Manager 2 in Roy, Utah. The role involves managing a team of PM&P engineers, ensuring integration across design and manufacturing teams, providing performance feedback, training, mentoring, and coaching. Responsibilities include workforce planning, employee performance reviews, supporting proposal work, technical reviews, and providing technical support for non-metallic materials, including risk analysis and trade studies. The ideal candidate will have experience in PM&P or Systems Engineering, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to attain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)
  • 2 years of experience in either PM&P, or a combination of Systems Engineering and PM&P engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in ensuring that PM&P program or contract requirements are applied to parts, materials and assemblies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university and 6 years experience in DoD, aerospace, oil and gas, or nuclear regulated industries
  • Minimum 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule, in a PM&P organization
  • An Active, In-Scope DOD Secret Security Clearance
