Boeing is seeking a Payloads Design Engineer for their 777-8F Cargo System Development team in Everett, WA. The role involves developing, integrating, and documenting cargo handling system requirements, reviewing supplier requirements, performing analyses, and managing supplier performance. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and relevant experience in design, integration, and certification are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops, integrates and documents Cargo Handling System requirements to establish the system design
  2. Reviews, lead review of Boeing and Supplier requirements using systems engineering principles and ARP4754 to show compliance with regulations
  3. Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  4. Manages supplier performance, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience
  • 9+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, systems, and/or certification or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, interiors design criteria, and design release processes
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity (including: development and execution of schedule milestones, financial assessments, resource assessments, risk and/or issues management, etc.)
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team
  • Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking
  • Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
