Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing aerial robotic systems. This role focuses on integrating payloads, including weapons systems, onto Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) within their Lattice ecosystem. Responsibilities include mechanical design, analysis, integration, program planning, system design, and supporting testing. The role requires significant engineering experience, software programming familiarity, and experience integrating weapons or avionics onto aircraft. A TS clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead or support efforts performing integration, verification and/or validation of weapon systems on Anduril’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems platforms
  2. Develop program plans, estimates, and schedules
  3. Develop system/architecture designs, perform system level analysis, and generate requirements
  4. Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements
  5. Develop and present technical material for reviews and meetings

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline or equivalent engineering experience
  • Software programming or embedded systems experience (familiarity with C++, MATLAB, Python, PERL scripting, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Air-to-Air weapons, MIL-STD-1553, and logical Interface Control Documents
  • Experience integrating weapons, payloads, or avionics onto aircraft
  • Experience with weapon or tactical datalinks
  • Customer focused with the ability to formulate and implement plans to resolve technical engineering problems
  • Ability to travel to support program and test events (up to 25%)
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in NX/Teamcenter
  • Experience in Solidworks
  • Experience designing mechanical parts and test equipment (CAD)
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, composite lamination, etc)
  • Experience developing subsystem layouts, performing architectural trade studies, and evaluating vendor performance data

What the JD emphasized
