This role is a mix of data science, consulting, and product management focused on driving data-driven analysis and automated reporting within the Payments Digital product business at JPMorgan Chase. The individual will leverage analytics and strategy skills to solve business problems, enhance customer experiences, and shape group strategy using various technologies and methods.

What you'd actually do

  1. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods as needed.
  2. Conduct analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
  3. Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  4. Brainstorm innovative ways to use our unique data to answer business problems.
  5. Extract and understand data to form an opinion on how to best help our clients and derive relevant insights.

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
  • Deep understanding of the financial services or Payments industry
  • Experience analyzing large data sets using programming languages such as Python, R, SQL and/or Spark
  • Experience using data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata, Cognos/BO, SAS/R
  • Experience using machine learning techniques and advanced analytics (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, time series, causal inference, and natural language processing)
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, analysis from diverse, complex data sources
  • Ability to work autonomously while providing regular status updates and meeting objectives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and teamwork skills
  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
