What you'd actually do

  1. Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
  2. Supports API governance activities including consistency of standards, naming conventions, and backward-compatibility considerations
  3. Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  4. Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
  5. Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle

Skills

Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Experience working on API-based products or platforms, including translating client needs into well-defined API requirements
  • Experience collaborating with engineering on API specifications (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger) and reviewing changes for completeness and clarity
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can execute with minimal rework
  • Familiarity with client onboarding / implementation for APIs and partnering with sales, servicing, or implementation teams
  • Experience supporting production API products (incident learnings, root-cause themes, operational readiness)
  • Experience with developer portals or self-serve enablement patterns (docs, examples, SDKs, sandbox concepts)
  • Experience in payments (e.g., RTP, ACH, wires, ISO 20022, payment initiation) or treasury services products
