This role is responsible for assisting in the preparation, distribution, and accounting of employee payroll, acting as a liaison with employees and vendors, auditing pay records, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies. It involves interpreting pay policies, managing deductions, and potentially assisting with tax reports and audits.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serves as a liaison to employees and third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
  2. Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by departmental cost center, location, etc.
  3. Works directly with employees to resolve outstanding payroll inquiries.
  4. Ensures company compliance with federal and state payroll standards.
  5. Documents payroll processes and procedures.
